“Patagonia Expedition” Body
Expedition Body
The thermal properties of our Expedition bodies and windows make this the perfect year round adventure vehicle for both hot and cold weather. No more having to winterize your RV and leave it sitting until warm weather returns. Use it all year long to see the world.
Frame Assembly
- High tensile strength, galvanized coated, 3-point kinetic attachment with main and flex mounts for stress-free body coupling
Composite Fiberglass Body Construction
- Body dimensions – length 17’7″ x width 8’ x height 7’3″ (5359mm x 2438mm x 2209mm)
- GXV Structural Composite sandwich panels of polyurethane foam insulation, clad with 0.23 (5mm) exterior, and 0.083 (2mm) interior fiberglass reinforced polyester
- Panel connections made by adhesive bond to custom extrusions eliminates metallic heat conduction paths
- Matched thermal coefficients of expansion prevent distortion with changes in temperature
- Wall thickness 2.36″ (60 mm) with polyurethane foam insulation, 0.12″ ( 3 mm ) FRP outer surface, 0.08″ ( 2 mm ) FRP inner surface
- Insulation rating 0.078 btu/ft h degF ( 0.44 W/sqm K )
- Floor panel, 4.33″ (110 mm), with integrated welded steel frame and surfaces of fiberglass reinforced polyester

- Highly flexible waterproof bellows coupling
Entrance Door and Storage Compartment Doors
- Entrance door and storage doors are integrated into the body walls and are constructed of the same fiberglass composite panels
- Entrance Stair System of Aluminum and Stainless, manual with option for electric
- Entry Stairs are lit by a motion-sensing LED safety light
- Thickness of doors 2.36″ (60 mm)
- Double seals with heavy duty 3-point lock
- 3-point Stainless Steel safety cylinder locks, all keyed alike
