GXV EXPEDITION VEHICLESOur World Class Expedition Vehicles are built on Medium-Duty chassis. We can however build on a lighter-weight chassis, such as a one-ton, or on essentially any truck chassis manufactured in the U.S. At this time we have 2 new Mercedes Unimog chassis, which we consider the best all-around chassis ever constructed for Expedition use. Our off road Global Expedition Cabins and expedition systems can also be configured onto basically any chassis in the world, i.e. Western Star, Freightliner, International, Mitsubishi, MAN (for export only) in 4x4 or 6x6. |
Built To LastOur custom overland Expedition Vehicles are "Built to Last." Most motorhomes or traditional RV's are worn out after 100,000 miles. Our expedition vehicles are only getting started. These are 1,000,000 mile vehicles. That is 10 times the durability and value built into each of our vehicles. |
Medium Duty ChassisWith a medium duty chassis, you get the best of all worlds. You get something small enough to maneuver in small towns and cities, and the turning radius of something less than a crew cab pickup, on the standard Unimog. You get the ground clearance that Hummers dream about, when they dream about growing up. Yet you can haul anything you would want to load. It just doesn’t get any better than this! |
Fuel ConsumptionMercedes rates the U500 at 10 to 13 mpg. Our experience with our loaded Unimog U500 Expedition Vehicle in South America was 8 to 10 mpg. Of course, mileage will depend on driving conditions and individual driver. Please call to discuss your specific needs: 417-582-5050 |
